After a successful technology showcase in Minneapolis this past May, Getac Video and Microsoft hosted their second showcase in Dallas, Texas, earlier this month. The showcase brought together public safety and law enforcement officials from the city of Dallas and greater Texas.
Attendees benefited from hands-on demonstrations of cutting-edge hardware and software solutions. They were able to ask questions in smaller, more informal sessions and gain deeper insights on Getac Video’s reliable and integrated solutions.
100% of attendees surveyed marked “durability” as the most important factor when purchasing in-car computers.
The showcase allowed attendees to see rugged features and various components Getac Video Solutions builds into durable law enforcement equipment.
Attendees appreciated being able to demo rugged equipment inside a Frisco, TX police department patrol vehicle and Getac Video Tahoe. Viewing equipment in various patrol vehicles helped law enforcement officials see the critical importance of devices designed for space-savings and flexible mounting options.
In addition to in-car camera, HD displays, DVR, notebook and tablet demos, attendees listened to presentations from a comprehensive panel of police tech experts including:
- Arzu Yuksel Suzener, Microsoft Devices and Solutions Account Lead
- Scott Shainman, President Getac US (rugged devices)
- Sean Dailey, Getac US
- Tom Guzik, President Getac Video Solutions
- Trevlyn Pinter, FirstNet Program
After another great turn-out, Getac Video and Microsoft are looking to host two more technology showcases before the end of the year. Stay tuned for updates!
